About us

In 2021, the idea for our company, AML-EX, was born during a short virtual espresso meeting. In these expert meetings lasting a maximum of 30 minutes, we took on the challenge of reducing the events surrounding the topic of combating financial crime to their essential core messages.

The concept arose from the need to present the latest developments quickly and in a focussed manner in a dynamic and fast-moving field such as money laundering and fraud prevention. The participants were so enthusiastic about this efficient approach that we decided to develop it further and make it accessible to a wider audience. This approach, coupled with a solid network of experts, is an indispensable advantage in the fight against financial crime.

Our motto, ‘AML-EX: The essence of financial crime fighting - strong, focused and indispensable like a good espresso’, reflects our commitment to efficiency and conciseness.

Behind AML-EX are Julian Ursic, Dr Maik Bdeiwi and Markus Bitzer. With decades of experience and expertise they are taking an innovative step with AML-EX that will make the fight against financial crime more effective.
